For a leading business consultancy Communicatie & Co is searching for an experienced PR Manager who will be based in London. He or she must be fluent in English (native speaker).
Job description
The PR Manager will be responsible for public relations in the UK and Continental Europe. He or she maintains media relations, supports the planning and execution of the company's public relations and media strategies, manages daily activities with PR agencies and drives content development primarily for media consumption. He or she will work closely together with the corporate communications team, as well as with senior executives, thought leaders, experts and external agencies to produce media pitches, news releases, by-lined articles, blogs etc for business and trade publications. The PR Manager will be a key contributor to the growing PR function. He or she will create awareness of the company's industry-focused services, client successes and deep business and technology expertise in industries such as banking, healthcare, retail, consumer goods, manufacturing, information & media, entertainment and technology. Identifies and pursues opportunities for media coverage. Builds and maintains relationships with technology and business reporters, bloggers, podcasters in print, broadcast and online media.
Required
Succesful candidates are experienced PR Managers with proven, measurable success. They have excellent writing and communication skills, are meticulous, organized and detail-oriented, while also able to see the big picture. They are flexible, energetic and multitasking. Thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted business. Are native in English, fluent in Dutch and preferable one or more other (possibly Scandinavian) languages. Candidates must have international experience. The ideal candidate is experienced in implementing PR strategies and tactics, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with overall branding and marketing objectives. Is able to manage and respond to incoming media requests. He or she knows how to manage internal and external contacts (experts, agencies, media). Has sensitivity to a multicultural, multinational workplace. Is able to work with minimal supervision and with minimal processes. He or she is outgoing and has a good deal of patience and persistence.
