Job description 
This role has two components: Strategy and Communications. The strategy component is to define and implement strategies to (re)use internal and external knowledge in an effective and cost efficient way. He or she reports to the Arup University Leader. The specialist will work closely with the group, business and the skills network leaders. He or she will develop strategies covering: knowledge management, information management, transition management and skills networks. The communication component is communication and celebration of the Arup's design culture and benefits from sharing for the firm and its members.
Required 
He or she possesses a Masters’ degree in preferably knowledge management and/or strategy with communications. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in knowledge / content strategy in a knowledge organisation is required. The specialist had outstanding written and verbal communication skills, must be a direct, articulate and thoughtful communicator. (near) fluent in English and at least another European language. Must also possess a consultative approach, should easily develop rapport and trust with multiple individuals and personalities. He or she has experience in facilitating sharing of knowledge and expertise in all forms. Must also be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders. Has the mindset to avoid reinventing the wheel, wasting time, effort and resources.
